notes	木乃伊、圆沙古城、喀拉墩古堡、丹丹乌里克、吁弥古国，都在附近。中国科学院（马鸣研究员）与法国科研中心（5人）、新疆考古所、和田文管所的专家们一起进入沙漠中心。我的任务是调查古代动物（墓地的）与现代动物的关系。汽车只能到达达里雅博依（大河沿），然后我们在当地先后租用了53峰骆驼，10余位民工，考察月余（正是阿富汗战争期间）。记录到98种脊椎动物（包括一些干尸）。共带回9俱木乃伊，年代为2000-3000年以前。克里雅河发源于昆仑山脉，位置在新疆的南部于田县境内。早期的探险家穿越塔克拉玛干沙漠时，在这里发现了喀拉墩遗址（斯文赫定1896；斯坦因1901）。1980-1990年代又有一些国内外的科学家在这个区域调查（侯灿1987；吴州等1991；杨镰1995；伊弟利斯等1998，戴蔻林等2001），他们发现了位于沙漠中心的圆沙古城（DjoumboulakeKoum，海拔1100米，38º52'N,81º35'E），这是100年来塔里木考古的又一次重大发现。
